India iGaming industry apprehensive concerning new taxes set to be imposed

Fears and cautions of a chilling effect on the nation's online gaming industry have been raised in response to the Indian government's intention to implement a new tax. India intends to levy a 28% tax on the money that online gambling companies, or iGaming companies, get from their customers for each game. According to the government, businesses have so far paid a very small amount of tax on the revenue they receive for offering real money games. The iGaming sector responded to the ruling quickly and angrily.
