Indiana financial advisor accused of embezzling $4.6million for sports betting

Prosecutors claim that an unscrupulous financial advisor from Indianapolis stole $4.6 million from a client's investment account and spent it on sports betting. This week, he entered a guilty plea to one count each of tax fraud and wire fraud.

Prosecutors claim that the suspect transferred $4,692,500 from a client who was only identified as Victim 1 in court documents. Starting in July 2019, the funds were transferred gradually into a defendant-controlled limited liability company. He moved it to his personal account from there.
