Indonesia enforces integrity pact on digital firms to curb online gambling

A commitment to an integrity pact aimed at addressing online gambling is required of the 18,232 private electronic system providers in Indonesia, including tech giants like Google, Meta, TikTok, and X. Companies must secure electronic data on their platforms as part of this initiative, which is being led by the Ministry of Communication and Informatics.

With the help of its Online Gambling Task Force, the Indonesian government has recently stepped up efforts to combat online gambling, freezing 32 gaming websites and auditing 21 payment processors.
