A joint educational initiative between the Professional Footballers' Association Canada and the International Betting Integrity Association has been launched.
About 300 PFA Canada players and staff members will receive extensive training from the betting association and its members, bet365, Betway, and FanDuel, on the value of integrity in the Canadian Premier League, the risks of match-fixing, and the potential consequences for their careers.
In order to teach new players and staff joining the league on how to report suspicious activity and stop criminals, a two-year program that started this May will run until 2026. The following year will serve as a repeat training session.
