International Game Technology to split lottery business from gaming unit

In order to create a distinct company valued at $6.2 billion including debt, International Game Technology is separating its lottery division from its gaming operations.

The agreement will allow the standalone company to concentrate on its lottery operations, which generate more than half of its revenue, and comes after a strategic review of the two units, Global Gaming and PlayDigital, which provide gaming systems, iGaming, and sports betting.
