International Tennis Integrity Agency suspends French tennis player

A French tennis player was given a seven-year suspension by the International Tennis Integrity Agency for his unwillingness to assist with an anti-corruption probe.

Regarding the anti-corruption case, the agency issued a provisional suspension to him in June of last year. He has not been permitted to play in or attend any official tennis matches since June 20, 2023.

The case concerns allegations of match-fixing in the years 2017 and 2018. The tennis pro, who in 2023 achieved a career-high world singles ranking of 708, refutes these accusations.

That's a really long time for this player to be banned. I understand why the tennis organization gave such a harsh punishment though, corruption ruins the integrity of the sport. It's good they are trying hard to stop this behavior.

He should have definitely cooperated with the authorities in that manner he could have avoided the ban on himself but now he can still challenge the ban if still he does not corporate with the authorities he will have no other thing or option then to face the restriction being applied on him actually
