Intralot betting contract faces scrutiny from Attorney General

Media reports earlier this year indicated that Intralot, GambetDC's operator, might be under legal scrutiny due to its $215 million contract in Washington DC, even though FanDuel's launch helped launch the market there. The Attorney General's office is currently investigating Intralot's betting and lottery contract, according to Axios, which cited people familiar with the situation. Although the two sources' identities were kept a secret, it has been reported that they are aware of the investigation but are not allowed to share any information with the public.

The Intralot betting contract is under scrutiny from the Attorney General due to concerns about its legality and fairness. Questions have been raised over the terms and transparency of the agreement, suggesting possible violations or conflicts of interest. The investigation aims to determine if the contract was properly awarded and if it aligns with regulatory standards, potentially impacting the contract's future and raising accountability issues within the betting industry.
