Investors to sue Entain for $150million following corruption settlement

In the fall of 2024, investors will be represented by UK law firm Fox Williams in a collective lawsuit against Entain plc.

The allegation relates to past bribery offenses that transpired after His Majesty's Revenue and Customs looked into the company's Turkish operations. The investigation had a direct impact on the value of Entain's shares.

When it was discovered that Entain had neglected to put policies in place to prevent bribery in its Turkish subsidiary, Headlong, the company announced that it had reached a £585 million settlement. Since then, Entain's previous management, GVC, had sold the Turkish company.
