Iowa football coach encourages NCAA to ease student betting rules

Kirk Ferentz, the head coach of the Iowa Hawkeyes, is focusing on the NCAA's current discussions about how to regulate student-athlete participation in sports betting. The NCAA is looking into more than twenty student-athletes at the University of Iowa for their potential involvement in sports betting. Even though it is legal to wager on sports in Iowa, both in person at land-based casinos and online at sportsbooks, the NCAA forbids student athletes from doing so.
