Ireland gambling bill nears completion amidst political uncertainty

The Junior Justice Minister of Ireland is optimistic that the eagerly awaited gambling bill will pass within three weeks as it nears the end of the legislative process.

However, there is still uncertainty surrounding the bill's future because a general election could push back its implementation until the following Dáil session.

Next week marks the end of the proposed legislation's passage through the senate. The bill was first presented to the legislature in December 2022. After that, the Dáil will take it back to discuss senate amendments.
