Irish lawmakers pass a new gambling regulation bill that forbids social media advertising.

The Irish government has approved legislation that will significantly alter the way gambling businesses conduct business in the country.
The Gambling Regulation Bill, which forbids any and all social media advertising and forbids any sports club from sponsoring teams or athletes under the age of 18, was discussed and received final approval from the cabinet during a meeting held yesterday.

I supported the motion. Most of the youths and underage got introduced into gambling through social media. So if this new legislation should ban social media advertising and also prohibit gambling sites sponsoring sporting events, that will be good.

i support these also, the underage must not be introduce into gambling and one of the way they get exposed today was through social media

Why not just ban the young ones from accessing any social under they've turn adult. Banning all Sofia media advertisement is not a good thing to me. Many of you are saying you support and most times all the games you play on getting site are gotten or sent to you from your friends through social media. Banning of Sofia media ad also means that you won't be posting anything relating to betting on social media
