In a simple leadership style, the leader allows subordinates to make their own decisions and limited guidance as they move in. Under certain circumstances, this management style can be successful if employees are knowledgeable, well-trained, and able to work independently. However, employees may need more guidance and supervision in a casino with more restrictions, stressful situations and challenging tasks that an amateur leader often provides. Furthermore, the laissez-faire leadership style can lead to a lack of responsibility and accountability, which over time can lead to inequitable performance and low productivity hence a mixture of hands-on and hands-off leadership styles parts are more effective.

Casinos are susceptible to a number of security risks, such as theft, fraud, and cheating. Because it might not adequately handle concerns with risk management, security procedures, and surveillance, a hands-off management approach could make security breaches more likely.
