Is employment the solution to gambling?

To some players who had been actively involved in gambling and found it difficult to quit.
Is it proper to suggest to them that they should seek employment. My thinking is that if they got engaged, the time they spent on gambling would be reduced. Also the tempo at which they gamble would equally be reduced. Their preoccupation of the work at office would gradually reduce their interest in gambling. This is my view though. I want contributions to this thread.

It's worth considering the potential benefits of employment for those who struggle with gambling addiction. As you mentioned, having a job can provide a structure for the day, and take up some of the time and attention that may have been spent on gambling. That being said, it's important to note that employment alone is not a guaranteed solution to gambling addiction. Some individuals may still struggle with urges to gamble, even if they have a job and are busy during the day. Additionally, some people may feel stressed or overwhelmed at work, and turn to gambling as a coping mechanism.
It's really important to address the underlying issues of gambling addiction, and to seek professional help in managing it. This may include seeking therapy, attending support groups, and enlisting the help of loved ones. It's also essential to establish healthy coping mechanisms and hobbies that can replace the behavior of gambling.
Ultimately, each individual's situation is unique, and it's important to approach the topic with sensitivity and understanding. Encouraging employment may be a helpful suggestion, but it's important to prioritize individualized support and professional help in managing gambling addiction.

Gambling is a game of mind. There are some people that are always gamble despite the fact that they are working. They just believe in making extra source of income to augment their pay as working class.

I think getting a job could help some people reduce their gambling, but it may not solve the problem for everyone. When you're at work, you have less free time to gamble. But for those who are really addicted, they may still find ways to gamble even when working.
