In my own view, when a jobless person is engaged in gambling, there is probability of him to become addictive. Because his urge of becoming successful in it would be high. And also he won't be able to subscribe himself into financial management. His goal is to make money daily and any loss experienced by him would be aggressively pursued. This would make it difficult to stick with financial management plan. Similarly, because he has taken gambling as his source of income, he won't be able to set up time limit for himself. Everyday is a market day for him which is very risky.

That's true though. A jobless person might see gambling as an escape from idleness. And in the end, the person becomes addicted. At least, a day job would minimize the amount of time you have to gamble.
