As an American, I can appreciate the dilemma of a Muslim torn between faith and curiosity. Casinos are lavish entertainment hubs, not just places to gamble. There are shows, nice restaurants, shopping, bars, and bars with live music too. I can see why it may seem appealing while still wanting to avoid sin.
While gambling is prohibited, enjoying an enjoyable evening out should not be. A Muslim can have a nice meal, see a show, drink non-alcoholic beverages, shop for gifts, get a massage - experience all the ambiance without participating in the raffles or games. Faithfulness is about intent and spirit not just actions. An enjoyable, faith-keeping night at the casino is possible. What do you think?
