Is it necessary to take training before playing poker game?

I know that education is the starting point of all things a person wants to do. I am not talking about for one of the schools in here. I am talking about having a basic knowledge about anything. But as in someone who has been watching poker game for a long period of time, I think such person do not need any special training again. Or is it necessary to acquire basic knowledge before starting playing poker game?

I know there are some coaches that always teach people on how to win in poker. If one has access to them and there is lesser money to get it done, it is not a problem getting some training before starting the poker game.
