Is poker hype fading away?

For years, poker was the hottest game in town. Celebs loved to brag about their high-stakes wins and newcomers rushed to online cards rooms, dreaming of becoming the next champion. But excitement seems to have faded. Fewer young guys idolize players now. Main Event final tables get little buzz. Big prize pools do little to ignite interest.

Some say poker peaked and is returning to niche status. Others blame oversaturation, new competition from daily fantasy and esports, or players retiring. Whatever the reasons, poker's moment in the sun seems to be passing. Is the hype finally catching up to the actual gameplay, or will new stars and storylines reinvigorate America's once favorite card game? The next hand is yet to be dealt.
