Is poker too difficult to learn for complete beginners?

I have been playing various forms of poker for years now. Poker seems intimidating at first with all the different terms and strategies. But the actual game of poker is fairly simple - you are dealt some cards and try to make the best hand using the community cards and your own while beating the hands of the other players.

What do you think?..
Is poker too difficult to learn for complete beginners?
