A far-reaching, collaborative heritage project between two universities is ramping up a gear with a new staff members’ search for Corby’s experts.
The Heritage Impact Accelerator – backed by the National Lottery Heritage Fund – will support practitioners in both towns and surrounding areas, to deliver heritage-related educational projects, covering community heritage, natural heritage, industrial heritage and heritage of both town’s architecture. These projects can include educational talks and discussions, and this project is being directly informed by UON’s partner, University of Bedfordshire, following their successful, similar project in Luton.

It's great to hear about the Heritage Impact Accelerator project that is backed by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. It is encouraging to see universities working collaboratively to support practitioners in Corby and its surrounding areas to deliver heritage-related educational projects. It's particularly interesting that they will cover community heritage, natural heritage, industrial heritage, and heritage of both towns' architecture. This multi-disciplinary approach should provide new and exciting opportunities for individuals and organisations in Corby to learn about and engage with their heritage.

The fact that the University of Bedfordshire is involved and has experience in delivering similar projects in Luton is also encouraging. It means that the Heritage Impact Accelerator project will benefit from the expertise and knowledge that the university has gained from its previous project.

The potential for educational talks and discussions is an excellent way to engage with the local community and provide an opportunity for people to learn more about their heritage. It is vital to ensure that heritage projects are accessible and inclusive for everyone, and providing free events and talks is a great way to achieve this.

Overall, it's fantastic to see the Heritage Impact Accelerator project moving forward and looking for Corby's experts. It will be exciting to see the project develop and the impact it will have on the local community.

The Heritage Impact Accelerator project sounds like a really exciting opportunity for the people of Corby and Bedfordshire. It's great to see how the National Lottery Heritage Fund is supporting these heritage-related educational projects, and it's really cool that the University of Northampton and the University of Bedfordshire are teaming up to make it happen.
