Italy scolded by European Gaming Association over stark increases in black-market gambling

According to a recent study by an Italian sports media site, the value of illicit online gambling in the nation has surpassed $26 billion. The European Gaming and Betting Association issues a warning to other nations, blaming Italy's severe gambling advertisement restriction for the uncontrollably high surge.

Italian consumers find it difficult to discern between a permitted and an unlawful gambling website due to a lack of adequate promotion, which is a clear consequence of the ban. It's also clear that the existing enforcement measures against black-market operators are insufficient, even in spite of the rise in the number of blacklisted websites.
