Jockey denies two-month ban related to horse betting

Harry Bentley, a British jockey, has refuted claims that race-fixing or betting are connected in any way to his recent two-month suspension.

According to Irish media, the 31-year-old was fined US$38,409 by the Hong Kong Jockey Club in addition to being suspended for two months.

During a recent two-day hearing, the jockey acknowledged breaking some rules of the Hong Kong racing regulations, which deals with misconduct, improper conduct, or inappropriate behavior.
