The only casino in South Korea that lets native Koreans wager, Kangwon Land, has been given the go-ahead to expand.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism has sent the property a notification about the changes to its "casino business area," pertaining to its casino business license.
Among the modifications mentioned was the enlargement of the 14,512 square meter casino to 20,260 square meter area. The area would expand to include more gaming establishments and machines; there would be an additional 50 tables added to the 200 already there, and 250 gaming machines added to the 1360 already there.
