Kansas reported a revenue of US$8.1m from sports betting in September, demonstrating a remarkable 523.1 per cent growth compared to the previous year. Following the opening of sports wagering in September 2022, the Sunflower State also achieved a record handle of $219.3m, signaling a 36.6 per cent year-on-year increase. In terms of monthly performance, revenue witnessed a substantial surge of 68.8 per cent compared to August, while the handle experienced a remarkable surge of 132.3 per cent. Among the total revenue generated, online sports betting contributed $7.6m, whereas retail betting added $459,336. Leading the way in revenue for Kansas in September were DraftKings and its partner Boot Hill Casino, who collectively generated $3.3m from an impressive handle of $97.2m.
