Members of the Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission were in Kentucky last week by pure happenstance. Top agency officials wanted to witness the devices in action before they are soon to be introduced in the Sunflower State. A representative from Gaming Laboratories International, which tests and accredits gaming systems and equipment, gave them a tour of Churchill Downs. As a result of the Kentucky General Assembly enacting a sports betting measure the previous week, they also got the opportunity to speak with the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission, which turned the visit into a sort of information exchange.
