Kenya set for iGaming tax hike

The Cabinet Secretary for National Treasury and Economic Planning made a significant proposal in the Kenyan market that described the possible financial advantages of raising the betting tax in the area.

Changes occur as Africa's landscape becomes more competitive and more people focus on the continent as a possible place for growth.

Regarding the gaming industry specifically, the plans called for a possible increase from 12.5% to 15%, which prompted a warning that these tax hikes might have a detrimental effect on consumer prices.
