After their kids were left unattended in a car at the Illinois Harrah's Metropolis Hotel & Casino, two parents were detained last month.
On September 16, the 10-year-old and 2-year-old children were discovered in a white Dodge Ram pickup truck. The kids were left alone in the truck while the parents were inside the casino for an unknown amount of time.
The two kids were reported by casino security to the Metropolis Police Department.
It's unknown if either parent was gambling while inside the casino, but both parents were charged with child neglect.
Both of them were freed after signing written promises to show up in court.
