Large number of Nottingham children suffer from gambling addiction

Thousands of people in Nottingham suffer from gambling addiction; the number of children among them is concerning, according to Nottingham City Council. The city council announced that 5,500 residents either have a gambling problem or are at risk of developing one after deciding to spend up to £417,000 on their gambling-related harm strategy.

About one thousand youth, aged eleven to sixteen, were included in this, according to the council. The authority stated that for every person with a gambling problem, six to ten family members and friends were impacted. A needs assessment revealed that a "relatively large" number of people in Nottingham were at risk of gambling harm.
