Las Vegas casino hotels encounter new cases of Legionnaire's Disease

At two Las Vegas casino hotels, the Southern Nevada Health District is looking into fresh cases of Legionnaires' disease. Cases involving two visitors who stayed at Caesars Palace and one visitor from the Orleans, a Boyd Gaming establishment that had already reported two cases earlier this year, were recorded. Legionella, the bacteria that causes the potentially fatal infection, was found in samples taken from Caesars' water system. After the resort fixed the issue, more recent tests revealed no presence of Legionella.
