Las Vegas casinos maintains momentum in August

August saw the Las Vegas Strip continue its winning streak as it drove state gaming winnings to all-time highs.

August 2023 saw record-breaking gaming revenue for any month in the history of Nevada, with more over $1.2 billion won throughout casinos, taverns, sportsbooks, and other regulated establishments.

When compared to August 2022, gross gaming income in markets other than the Strip decreased. However, Las Vegas' casinos recorded a 1.1% increase in gaming revenue, offsetting losses in other areas of the Silver State.

From gamblers, strip casinos made around $666.8 million last month. Table win climbed by 7%, and slot volume grew by 3%.

It's good to see the Las Vegas Strip continuing its strong performance and helping drive gaming revenues to new highs across Nevada. The casinos and hotels there seem to be doing a great job attracting visitors and gamblers. I'm not surprised their gaming revenue increased last month while other areas softened a bit. The Strip knows how to keep people entertained and eager to try their luck.
