The rooftop fire at the Fontainebleau Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip on Saturday afternoon is still being looked at by fire officials. 93 firefighters responded when a mile-high smoke plume was spotted. The 67-story blue edifice was covered in roofing materials and debris that the fire appeared to have ignited. The fire was first reported to the Clark County Fire Department and Las Vegas Fire & Rescue at around 3:41 pm. About six minutes after they started their response, the firefighters arrived at the hotel. They were able to access the roof via elevators. The fire was swiftly put out and just the roof was involved. To make sure that no workers or construction crews were in danger, they also searched the roof of the building.
