A Center of Excellence in Gambling Research (CoEGR) has been created at the University of Sydney to enable live trials to examine the impact of gambling therapies.
Entain Australia, the College of Sydney Brain and Mind Center, as well as the Australian Research Commission Life Course Centre have all provided significant support for the organization's founding, which was made possible by a six hundred thousand dollars grant from the (ICRG).
Doctor Sally Gainsbury, founding member of the Technology Addiction Team and the executive director of the Gambling Treatment & Research Clinic, shall be in charge of the initiatives.
