Lawsuit filed against "stolen" $2.04 billion winning lottery ticket

Jose Rivera has filed a lawsuit, claiming that on November 7, when he purchased the ticket from Joe's Service Center in Altadena, it was stolen from him by a man he only knows as "Reggie." The events surrounding the theft are not described in the complaint. On February 15, a man named Edwin Castro claimed the award. Castro reportedly declined the chance to take part in media attention and preferred to remain anonymous, according to the California Lottery. Only the winners' names and the retailer where the ticket was bought must be made public according to California lottery regulations.

Tho type of news is just becoming something else. It's becoming unbecoming everyday or maybe I'm just the one that does not understand very well about lottery. How on earth will someone also lose a ticket worth up to $2billion

It is really shocking but investigations have not been finalized as to the veracity of this claim, and this makes us unable to say so much regarding the matter. Two billion dollars is a lot of money for someone just to steal a ticket
