Lifford lottery winner told to go to Wales to claim his winnings

When a man from Lifford won £800 from a lottery ticket, he was informed he would need to go to Wales to claim his inheritance.

As it turns out, UK National Lottery HotPick slips are not payable to addresses in the Republic of Ireland, and that is what the winner had in particular.

He described calling several times a week for the first month following the draw in the hopes that someone would listen to him fairly.
