Liquor and Gaming New South Wales launches compliance operations to prevent underage gambling

In order to stop anyone under the age of 18 from gambling, going to casinos or drinking alcohol over the holidays, Liquor & Gaming NSW has started a compliance operation. Since casino attendance usually rises around the Christmas and New Year's season, this program aims to maintain the state's stringent regulatory standards. Significant penalties are imposed on minors who break these regulations, including fines of up to US$2,803, confiscation of any gains from gambling, and prohibitions from casinos until they are at least 19 years old.
