A two percentage point increase in taxes on gambling operators has been approved by the Lithuanian parliament.
Nine MPs abstained, leaving 72 MPs in favor of the changes to the Law on Lottery and Gambling Tax.
The current 20 percent gross income tax rate will be replaced by a 22 percent rate starting in 2025 for slot machines, table games, bingo, betting, and remote gambling.
