Lithuania tightens central control of gambling

To combat problem gambling and stop reckless behavior, Lithuania is strengthening its gambling regulations.

One of the main actions is the implementation of a new unified gambling age of 21, which will take effect on July 1, 2025. The government approved this change in January, raising the legal gambling age from 18 to 21. The timetable for putting these changes into effect will be supervised by the gambling regulator.
