London listed betting giants scale back plans for world domination

888, the owner of William Hill, and Flutter, the owner of Paddy Power, one of the largest bookies listed in London, both announced significant losses but indicated a move away from their goals of dominating the world market today.

888 declared a significant shift in its approach, concentrating more on its core markets, which include Denmark, Italy, and the UK. It threatened to withdraw from other nations where its business operations are not profitable.

These type of actions and decisions are mostly made by the platforms when they are not able to make profit from a sufficient and they try to decrease their presence in multiple countries and increase it in the country where they can actually grow and have potential income much bigger than their expenses which can allow them to run their business smoothly
