In the state of Nebraska, Jackpocket, a lottery app that lets users play Powerball, Mega Millions, Lucky for Life, Pick 3 and Pick 5, has gone live. Through the third-party lottery app, players can purchase tickets from authorized lottery retailers without physically going to a retail location. Instead, consumers can buy things using a smartphone, tablet, or computer and get alerts when they win. While the program can pay out winnings up to $500, additional measures will be required if the total sum is higher.
