Macau casinos restrict free snacks and orders on government order

Recent orders have limited the amount of free snacks and drinks that Macau casinos give to their guests. According to the local government, the reduced freebies haven't had a materially negative effect on their businesses.

In response to Beijing, the Macau Special Administrative Region government drove out the majority of VIP junket operators during the pandemic. Because of the significantly lower number of high rollers in the area, the six casino operators had to change their focus to the general public in order to maintain the activity of their table games and slots.
