Macau official encourages casinos to increase employee wages

As gaming activity continues to rebound from the COVID-19 pandemic, the government of the Macau territory is urging its six commercial casino operators to think about raising employee wages.

This week, a senior government official suggested that the six casino concession holders consider raising employee wages due to the year-over-year surge in gaming. According to the secretary of Macau's Economy and Finance Office, most employees should receive pay increases of between 2% and 3% based on casino revenue.
