Major League Baseball commissioner hopes betting investigation will be swift and precise

The commissioner of Major League Baseball expressed his hope that the league's investigation into the Los Angeles Dodgers superstar's theft and gambling scandal will not take too long. The player claims that millions of dollars were stolen from him by his longtime friend and interpreter, who then utilized the money to settle gambling debts.

MLB Rule 21 clearly prohibits players and staff members from having any affiliation with unlicensed bookmakers, and a baseball star may face legal repercussions if they make payments to an unlicensed bookmaker in California. The MLB forbids betting on baseball, even when it is done lawfully.
