In New Jersey, a man was found guilty last week of robbing and assaulting another man who had won a $20K jackpot.
Following their deliberations, the jury returned a guilty verdict for the suspect on the counts of second-degree robbery, third-degree aggravated assault, fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, and theft by unlawful taking.
The offender stated that he simply missed a bus and required transportation to a nearby bus stop. Following the jackpot winner's approval, the two men started to make their way to the winner's car, which was parked in a casino garage.
