Man loses $865,000 while gambling with bad check at Aria casino

Authorities said that, while playing at the Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, a man obtained $865K in markers using a fictitious check. He promptly lost all of it.

The credit union check's top number and bottom number weren't the same at the time, an untrustworthy employee noticed when they examined it. When employees at the Aria called the North Carolina credit union, they learned the check was bogus.
