Man wins $150,000 lottery jackpot on the back of $5 ticket purchase

After buying a scratch-off ticket from the Kentucky Lottery, a man won $150,00.

The winner, according to lottery officials, purchased a $5 50X The Cash lottery ticket while stopping at a convenience store to get groceries.


The winner claims that upon revealing the 50X symbol on the ticket, he had won the top prize.

After taxes, lottery officials report that he left with $108,000.

For the remainder of the year, the victor says he wants to fix his boat, pay off his debt, and go fishing.
