Marina Bay Sands cheating syndicate had secret formula to beat baccarat

They appear to have developed a cheating strategy for baccarat and used covert mobile devices to communicate card values to accomplices. In a Singapore courtroom on Tuesday, a Malaysian man admitted to participating in a cheating ring that defrauded the Marina Bay Sands of US$315k.

The Sorcerer, a female syndicate member, allegedly played 7 Up baccarat while sporting a covert earphone connected to her smartphone, according to court documents. The suspect would receive the information about the cards from her and, after consulting an Excel spreadsheet, would give the Sorcerer betting advice.
