Marriot International and MGM Resorts postpone partnership till 2024

Following a ransomware attack on the casino operator, Marriott International and MGM Resorts International have decided to postpone their highly anticipated customer loyalty partnership until the following year.

The MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy was announced in July by the two massive players in travel and leisure. The 17 domestic properties of MGM, including those on the Las Vegas Strip and the brand's regional casino hotels, are covered by this long-term strategic licensing agreement. This month was supposed to be the start of it.

It was anticipated that by the end of this year, all of MGM's domestic casino hotels would be bookable on Marriott platforms, following the announcement of the agreement in July. Launch has been postponed until 2024. In the world of rewards programs,
