Maryland adds thirteenth sportsbook

A thirteenth retail sportsbook has opened in Maryland, and a fourteenth is pending approval. It happens at a time when fall sports betting is predicted to rise.

September generated the highest revenue totals during Maryland's first full year of legalized sports betting in 2022, helped by college and professional football. On October 10th, when the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency meets, attention will be on those September 2023 numbers.
