Maryland Gaming Commission contracts iGaming report

A gaming consultancy with more than 30 years of experience, The Innovation Group, has been hired by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Commission to perform an analysis of the potential advantages that the state would experience if iGaming were to be made legal. Through its mobile sportsbook networks, Maryland already has legal internet gaming. On Nov. 23, 2022, authorized sportsbooks began accepting internet-based remote wagers from residents of the state. Since then, nearly a quarter of a billion dollars have been wagered on sports by Marylanders who bet online.
