Maryland guy wins $50,000 in the lotto thanks to his mother's car plate number.

A Maryland man who frequently plays the lottery with his mother's license plate number eventually used the digits to win a $50,000 Pick 5 reward. The Forestville man reported to Maryland Lottery authorities that he purchased his ticket for the Pick 5 evening drawing on August 5 at the Morningside Exxon on Suitland Road. The ticket had his customary set of numbers, 4-2-5-2-5, which were taken from his mother's car plate.
