Maryland iGaming bill gets hearing as brick-and-mortar casino attendances reduce

The state Senate committee hearing on Maryland's iGaming bill is scheduled for next week. As business at the state's six land-based commercial casinos continues to decline, online casino gaming is being considered.

A $1 million upfront payment from authorized online casino platforms would be mandated by the bill. A 47% tax would be applied to the gross gaming revenue from interactive slots and table games.
